DAVID
M. KOPSTEIN, Partner, born 1954. Mr. Kopstein graduated
from the Georgetown University Law Center with the degree of
Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1979. He was admitted to the D.C. Bar
in 1979, and to the Maryland and Virginia Bars in 1989. He is
currently a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the
American Association for Justice, the Maryland Association for
Justice, the Maryland Trial Lawyers
Association, the Prince George's County Bar Association, and the
Fairfax Bar Association. Mr. Kopstein sits on the MAJ's
Board of Governors and chairs the MAJ’s Amicus Committee. He
also sits on the AAJ's Publications Committee. Mr. Kopstein is
a contributing author of the book “Transfusion Associated AIDS,”
published in 1995, and has written various pieces published in
TRIAL Magazine. In December 2006, the Supreme Court of Oklahoma
repeatedly cited one of Mr. Kopstein’s articles in support of
its decision in Zeier v. Zimmer, Inc., striking down that
state’s medical malpractice certification statute. He has extensive experience handling state and
federal appeals. Has litigated numerous complex personal injury,
business, and insurance cases in Virginia, Maryland, D.C. and
elsewhere. Usually works out of the Seabrook, Maryland office.
Previously a partner in the firm of DiSalle and Staudinger in
Washington, D.C. In 2004, Mr. Kopstein was honored by Justice
Stephen Breyer of the United States Supreme Court and others for
his participation in Trial Lawyers Care, an organization that
provided free legal services to victims of the September 11th
attacks.
In January 2008, he was recognized by the
Virginia Lawyers Weekly for having obtained one of the 20
largest jury verdicts in that state during 2007.

BRYAN
PERILMAN, Partner, born 1946. Mr. Perilman graduated from
the New York University School of Law as a Doctor of Jurisprudence
in 1973. He was admitted to the New York Bar in 1974, the District
of Columbia Bar in 1978, and the Maryland Bar in 1986. He is
admitted to practice before Federal Courts in D.C., Maryland and
other locations. He is a member of the Maryland Trial Lawyers
Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and other
professional organizations. Since 1974, he has handled thousands of
matters including personal injury, business organization and
disputes, estate and probate matters, criminal investigations, and
federal regulatory matters in the state and federal courts of
Maryland and the District of Columbia and elsewhere. He has been
involved in matters and jury trials involving business disputes,
business formation and dissolution, probate and will matters,
contract disputes, negligence and medical malpractice, among other
issues. Mr. Perilman has previously worked as an assistant district
attorney with the Manhattan (N.Y.) District Attorney’s office, as a
staff attorney with the General Counsel’s Office of the U.S.
Department of Energy, and as a partner with DiSalle and Staudinger
in Washington D.C.
